The Mortgage & Protection Hub is an independent mortgage brokerage, founded by Sam Mason. We’re based in London & Brighton, but able to help people anywhere in the UK with online appointments.

Whilst our main objective is to help you secure finance on your property, we can also help you with all stages of homeownership such as; giving you insight on the market, assistance with negotiating the right deal on your purchase and putting you in touch with legal professionals.

With 10 years’ customer service experience, and over 6 of this being in the financial industry – Sam set up the Mortgage & Protection Hub in 2023, to pursue his ambition of building a modern day mortgage brokerage – with a fresh approach and simple mission; to help guide as many people towards home ownership as possible. He’s committed to offering free information through his social media channels (most active being his Instagram page – sam_themortgageman) and believes in the importance of sharing his knowledge with others to promote home ownership and explore all of the potential routes to get on the ladder.
Sam grew up in Brighton, but moved to London in 2021. He splits his time between both cities and when not working, can be found travelling, going to the gym or enjoying a beer.
Meet our newest mortgage & protection adviser, Joe!
Joe has been a mortgage adviser since Jan 2022, starting at Nationwide building society before moving on into the independent world.
Joe joins The Mortgage & Protection Hub with great experience in Estate Agency, and will mainly be building his business from Hove (although not limited to this area, he will also be available for online appointments)

With a strong background in education and a variety of administrative roles, Sophie plays a vital role in supporting case management, providing administrative assistance and ensuring clear communication with clients for a smooth & stress-free mortgage journey.Sophies keen eye for detail and genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their home-ownership goals, make her an invaluable part of our team.
Her professionalism and expertise ensure every mortgage application is handled efficiently and with care – allowing our advisers to focus more on supporting and advising clients.
Always wanting to be in financial services, Lewis studied accounting in college before realising he wanted to be in more client-facing roles. He began as a trainee mortgage advisor—learning the mortgage advice process, ensuring a smooth client journey, and providing office support for advisors. He became a fully qualified mortgage advisor in May 2025.
